Warning: This tasty and very common mushroom can give a small amount of people gastric upsets so should be tried in small amounts the first time it is eaten. It should always be cooked before consumption.

The Romanian Honey fungus patties are a delicious way of preparing this very common mushroom often ignored by foragers.

1 kg of Honey Fungus
3 potatoes
2 slices of bread
2 carrots
2 onions
2 eggs
dill
White flour
1 head of garlic
salt
pepper
Wash the Honey Fungus well, then boil them in salted water, changing the water twice.

Dice the onion, chop the dill, chrush the garlic well and mix all the ingredients.
